I'm new to this and trying to figure out how to setup a web site on IIS (Windows Server 2016) for the sole purpose of transferring files between a system that can make REST calls and windows shares. This would mostly be for POST, but I'd also like to be able to use the GET, PUT & DELETE methods as well.
I've been following this article, but am stuck on installing the proper application and publishing it. Trouble is, I'm not 100% sure I'm going in the right direction and even what to install to pull this off. Is there some basic product or application I can install via WebPI that will accomplish this? It's an internal server so don't have to worry about security issues as much as a public facing server would.
I'm hoping some here can at least get me pointed in the right direction of all that this would entail, and how to get it setup.
Any advice is much appreciated.
