tomcat7 - logging for Solr-4.10/Tomcat-7.0.2

Question

We have Solr-4.10 running on Tomcat-7.0.2. We have spikes of errors when querying Solr, we get

IOException occured when talking to server at: <server> 

I can see in the catalina logs that the server restarted, but I am unable to determine why the Solr Server shut down.
