c# - How to get claims from JWT token in ASP.NET

Question

I have the following ASP.NET API action:

[HttpGet]
[Route("GetProfile")]
public ProfileModel GetProfileAsync()
{
    var headers = Request.Headers;
    var claims = User.Claims;
    // ...
}

There is a valid access token as JWT bearer token in the Authorization header in headers with a few claims, however, the User doesn't have any claims in claims. How do I get claims in the access token automatically placed in User?

I have the following in Configure

app.UseAuthentication();
app.UseAuthorization();
