Navigator.Geolocation.getCurrentPosition does not work in Microsoft Teams App

Question

When I use navigator.geolocation.getCurrentPosition in my code, it works fine in browser. But when the app is used as a custom app in Microsoft Teams it always return error code 2. Error message: Network location provider at "googleapis.com": No response received.

In the Microsoft Teams manifest file. I have added the device permissions geolocation. It prompts for asking the location access permission but then it returns with the error code 2.

Can someone please help, what do I need to do extra while using this geolocation in a custom app for MIcrosoft Teams.
