java - Populating Dropdown in Swagger

Question

I've been having trouble populating a dropdown within my Swagger UI in a dynamic way. I realize that you can easily use allowableValues with a static list of values, but I need my list of values to come from a function in my code that extracts these values from file inputs. Is this even possible given the Swagger limitations?

My working example using a static list:

    @RequestMapping(value="do_the_thing", method=RequestMethod.POST, produces=MediaType.APPLICATION_JSON_VALUE)
    @Produces({"application/json", "application/xml"})
