linux - Long Angular build time in tmpfs

Question

Recently, I have come across tmpfs. Since tmpfs is storage on memory, i was hoping that if load my project(Angular) content in it, then the build time would be reduce by some amount. S I copied the project into /dev/shm.However, it happend just opposite. My normal build time is around 100-120 sec. But when i build after loading in tmpfs, then it increased to around 400 sec. If it cannot reduce the build time then why it increased the build time? I'm not sure why it happened.
