node.js - Node http assign data to GET request body

Question

I am using node's http module to create an connect to an http stream. I have successfully done this with the following code:

http.get("https://api.testsite.com:9443/svc/v1/Stream?Spec=1&Name=L359", this.callback);
    

Updates to my api mean I must now move the data from the URL to the body of the request. How can I assign data to the body of a stream request?
