visual studio code - Is there a way to disable the built-in JavaScript Language Basics snippets while still using my custom snippets?

Question

I've created some user snippets in Visual Studio Code and the built-in snippets such as for and foreach keep getting in my way in Intellisense. Is there any way to suppress the builtin snippets while preserving my own? I also use VSCode for Python.
