android layout - How can remove extra space from posts?

Question

My code has implemented SquareImageView library for ImageView. I want to remove extra spaces from up and down or left and right. How can I do that?

Here is layout code

 <com.arcdevelopers.readbee.ui.common.view.SquareImageView
        android:id="@+id/image_view"
        android:layout_width="match_parent"
        android:layout_height="wrap_content"
        android:layout_below="@id/user_layout"
        android:scaleType="fitCenter"
        tools:src="@mipmap/ic_launcher"/>

I tried with experimenting android:adjustviewbounds, replacing squareimageview with imageview but it doesn't applying.
