How to close or free or stop notify event from inotify fd in c language

I am trying understand inotify event indetail using from this (https://man7.org/linux/man-pages/man7/inotify.7.html) link.

I could not able to understand free or close or stop the event from the given example in the link.

I under stand he code logic expect free or close or stop.

When I have compiled the example not able to receive the log "Listening for events stopped" with multiple scenarios.

Could you please help to free the event is working with sinarieos.
