What else must be done to make those dreadful auto-closing tags go away?
I've searched the internet, and this really bothers me way more than it should. I apologize if this seems like a non-serious question but I'm willing to try anything and everything at this point.
Open Visual Studio Code, go to Preferences -> Settings
Preferences -> Settings
Under the User Settings tab, click Text Editor, and search for the setting Auto Closing Brackets. Set to never.
