ubuntu - How to make an iso image of an existing system?

So I have an ubuntu distribution on a virtual machine (VMware) where I have all my programs and files. I would like to create an iso image(with all my programs and files) of my distribution so that I can replicate my ubuntu installation on other computers.
In simpler words I want a replica of the virtual machine so I can transfer it on a real computer( keeping all my files and programs). Is this possible ? and How can I do it ?
