selenium - How to fix exceptions in Automated tests when triggered through maven commands?

Question

When triggered through the testNG xml file from Eclipse, the automated tests run successfully in BrowserStack. However, when the tests are triggered through maven command, most of the tests don't get initiated and throw exceptions. Only few random tests get executed.

cucumber.runtime.CucumberException: java.lang.NullPointerException
