pdfmake - Encode non breaking string in javascript

Question

I am having issues with hyphen which is added space after a hyphen (-) because a "Minus and hyphen is breakable character". To fix the issue i need to replace the - with an unicode char u2011.

tried :

• replace(/-/g, "u2011");
• replace each char instead of regex
• JSON.parse(JSON.stringify(notWorking).replace(//g, ''));

this the javascript

let text= 'Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the prin-ting and typese-tting'.replace(/-/g, "\u2011");

this is causing the string to be replace as: prin2011ting

Anyone has another idea ?
