I've recently configured my site for Cross Domain Tracking (following the Simo checklist) and can now see data pulling through as expected (ie. the source is consistent through my 3 domains).
However, this now means that the hit on the first crossed domain will now show the bespoke _ga id in the Google Analytics All Pageview report, so that particular url will be split across tons of rows. I've added _ga to the Exclude URL Query Parameters section in the view settings, but this doesn't appear to be having any effect. I've seen people mention using a filter to strip these out, but i'm reluctant until i understand why the Exclude URL Query Parameters solution isn't working. Could it be that as this is a Google thing that it's not able to exclude in this way? What can i do to consolidate all those urls into fewer rows?
Thanks
