swift - Copy/ pasting .mp3/ .wav files and accessing the copy

Question

I want to build an app where i could copy/ paste mp3 files into the app's internal documents directory to then play them later.

In iOS i can copy a whole file (whether it's an mp3, wav, video, pdf etc) and then paste it into something else, like into the Notes app for example, the same way I can paste text or images.

My question is whether it's possible to access that file copy using UIPasteboard or any other method to paste the file into the app's internal storage. I've skimmed the documentation on UIPasteboard and it looks like it can paste only text, urls and images, i couldn't find anything about pasting files.

If there's a better way to handle this problem, i'd be happy to learn about it. i'm pretty new to iOS development, so i don't 100% know what i'm doing :)
