java - Android Remove App "Free" flavor once "Paid" flavor is purchased

Question

I have successfully implemented 2 flavors for my app, "Free" and "Paid". I understand that since both packages have different package id's, it will require a different Play Store listing for each package.

1. Is this a suitable strategy of implementing the free/paid scenario for my app?
2. If a user has the FREE version, and then chooses to download the PAID version, it would be ideal for the user to uninstall the FREE version. Is the best way to cater for this to programmatically suggest to the user to uninstall the FREE version if it detects that both the PAID and FREE exist? Or is there another way?

Please help or point me in the right direction.
