wordpress - Using smaller woocommerce product image thumbnail

Question

When I list my products on a woo webshop, the default thumbnail size will be 768x768px.

As I can see in the img attribute, the src contains the smaller thumbnails too, like 300x300px.

How can I use smaller thumbnails to improve page load?

I tried Appearance/Woocommerce/Product images. That didn't help.

Can someone suggest me a code snippet?
