slow playbook on Ansible AWX

Question

I have AWX installed on Rancher. My playbook is used to deploy Patches and application updates to Windows servers. The playbook slows down considerably with more hosts targeted. I am currently using the free strategy and increased the forks in my AWX template and this doesn't seem to help. I did split the servers out to run on 4 different jobs which only improved the performance a bit. Any advice on improving job runs on multiple hosts would be appreciated. Also any advice on how forks perform on a cloud platform would also be helpful
