ios - XCode 12: What implications does "(arm64, armv7)" have?

I recently upgraded to XCode 12, and I noticed that the default iOS simulator is "Any iOS Device (arm64, armv7)". I remember in previous XCode versions, the default simulator was "General iOS device" or something like that.

What I Want To Know: What implications does the new "Any iOS Device (arm64, armv7)"vs the older "General iOS device"? Does arm64 or armv7 enforce certain rules that the previous general device wouldn't? Basically, what do I need to know as a developer now that it's switched to the new type of general iOS device?
