angularjs - this.$uibModalInstance.close() takes you to the top of the page;

Question

I am using this.$uibModalInstance.close() to close a modal that is already opened. Once the modal is closed, the page scrolls automatically all the way to the top and i lose my previous position. Is anyone aware of how to fix this?
