TL;DR: I have a list of hex values with certain names. I need to put only those specific values on a color wheel and then allow the user to find complimentary or other like color picker features to other colors in that list. Mapping seems to be the word I am thinking about.
This is more of a hypothetical question but I was wondering if it is possible to take a large list of hex color values with specific labels and generate where they would go on a color wheel. This color wheel would allow the user to select the "name" of the color from the list/JSON file and you could be given all the other cool classic color picker types in return. Like Complimentary or Triadic, etc.
I have been starting to gather specific hex values with item names attached in a spreadsheet but I am not 100% sure where to start. I tried to do lots of research but I come up on a dead end on every path I went down.
If it is possible does this community care to share with me any thing that could be helpful?
The example colors with names would be like "#92B8FE:ICE" or "#62EDE4:DIAMOND".
