I have a document with 1800 pages that is broken in to sections (example: Office 23 Group 2; Office 23 Group 3; Office 24 Group 1) The office / group appears at the top of each page and there is a page break for every Office/Group so there are not any pages with more than one Office/group on the page.
I need to copy each of the sections into a new Document (named after the section: Office23Group2.docx)
Currently, I search for the group / office and select all the pages associated with that office / group combination. Then I run a macro that copies the selected text to a new file and I save the new file with the office / group name. Rinse and repeat. I am hoping there is a way to automate this process as it is very time consuming and I have to do it once a week. Any suggestions?
TIA,
