Connection String 'Null' Creating Azure Search Data Source via REST API

Question

Trying to create a new data source for Azure Search via Azure REST API, data source creates fine but looking at the response its showing the connection string as 'null'

below is the body used:

    "credentials" : { "connectionString" :"DefaultEndpointsProtocol=https;AccountName=<AccountName>;AccountKey=<accountKEY>;EndpointSuffix=core.windows.net"},

}

Have reached out to microsoft support, they have said error on backend is "Credentials provided in the connection string are invalid or have expired"

Credentials string has been copied direct from Azure Portal Storage account is open to all networks at present for testing so shouldn't be blocked
