multithreading - How to know which java-9 module is appropriate to my application?

Question

Here I want to understand main use case of java-9 Module system. I could be wrong at any point because I am looking into this topic at very beginning.

As doc says java 9 modules are based on Single Responsibility (Functionality) Principle (SRP). Does it mean that jdk-9 has divided into multiple module and each module is doing a single task like micro-services? if so, How to select a relevant module to my application? for example if I want to work with multi-threaded application, which module I should use? how to get started?
