html - Fonts don't apply to characters with circumflex accent mark

I've tried to apply 2 different fonts -- Changa and BioRhyme, which both support extended Latin -- on letters such as ǎ or ǔ, however my browser (Edge) doesn't display neither of those fonts in my html file and uses the fall-back sans-serif instead. However, if you go to Changa's Google Fonts page, you will see that those characters show just fine. Is there a way to fix this problem?

I also tried adding &subset=latin-ext at the end of my @import rule but it didn't help.
