Why bother with using document.querySelector
? Jquery already made an API for selecting classes so if you're gonna do it just go all the way. Here's how I would do it:
$(document).ready(function() {
// Hides the div in 3 seconds
setTimeout(function() {
$('.multiple.classes.to.hide').remove();
}, 3000);
});
<script src="https://cdnjs.cloudflare.com/ajax/libs/jquery/3.3.0/jquery.min.js"></script>
<div class="multiple classes to hide">I am a div with multiple classes that would hide in a few seconds, ish</div>
