jquery - alert method issue in internet explorer browser

Question

I'm facing issue in IE browser where alerts are not getting displayed but in other browser it is working fine and there is no issue at all. Generally, i'm just displaying success alert message and then reloading the page so page is getting reloaded but alert is not displayed.

Sample code:

alert("Successfully Approved...");
window.location.replace("formsInbox");

any suggestions? window.location.replace is getting called without complete execution of alert message but this issue is only in IE browser.
