flutter - Is Firebase Storage bucket reference platform specific?

Question

I don't know why but in my app, the android one requires bucketUrl but iOS one doesn't work the way it works on android. Here is the platform specific code for storage reference. Is it supposed to be this way or am I missing something?

  if (Platform.isAndroid) {
    return FirebaseStorage.instanceFor(bucket: await bucketUrl).ref();
  } else {
    return storage.ref();
  }
}
