I am trying to run node-serialport
in my React app, but I get the following error:
It seems as if running node-serialport in my react-app, all the dependencies aren't loaded correctly.
I have tried to replicate this in a "vanilla" node-app, but then it works just fine.
So, the following works in a clean node-app, but not in a react-app:
- Install using
npm install serialport
const SerialPort = require('serialport')
let myPort = new SerialPort(...);
What could be the cause?
I am very new to React.js, and this might thus be a silly problem.
My "backup" plan would be to have an express-server running locally on the same machine and listening for requests such as /writeToSerialPort
, but it would be awesome to just have this little thing work directly in the react-app, as this is quite a small project.
Thanks in advance!
HINT: The same problem is sort of described here, but it seemed to be different causes.
