Was trying so hard to smooth lines (tried geom_smooth()
and spline()
but both didn't work). Finally managed to install ggalt
after much hassle, and integrated geom_xspline()
into my code as recommended by various sources:
p <- ggplot(data=pheno.types.list[[3]], aes(x=cutoff.val, y=pval))
p + geom_point(size = 0.5) + geom_xspline(size=0.5) + xlab("Cut Off") + ylab("p-value") + scale_y_log10()
But lo & behold, it messes my graph up:
geom_xspline messes graph up
I just want to smooth the geom_line()
of my chart that has to pass through all the data points:
chart with geom_line
but I don't understand why this is such a challenging issue. Have googled for 10 hours (also because I'm quite inexperienced in R) but can't seem to find a solution.
Help! :')
