server - Nginx - serve static content in a proxy

Question

So i have a react app that i have build and hosted on my server.

server {

  root /var/www/domain.com;
  index index.html index.htm index.nginx-debian.html;

  server_name domain.com www.domain.com;

  location / {
   root /var/www/domain.com;
   index index.html index.htm;
   try_files $uri /index.html$is_args$args =404;
 }
}

I want to run this app in a proxy

something like

location / {
 proxy_pass http://localhost:3000;
}

Can i do this in nginx and if so how?
