android - how to write select query with a where clause that takes a string as input?

Following is my function.All I want is to run a query-

select * from testtitles where testCategory="PICK";

So this PICK is my string input which is not being accepted and error is coming no such column.can anyone help me ? I have tried all ways.my code-
