mocha.js - When mocha's beforeEach fails, it only reports failure for first test in suite

Question

When beforeEach fails for a suite, mocha only reports a failure for the first it() in the suite. This means the final counts are thrown off.
I rely on those counts to monitor my tests so it throws everything off.

I am wondering whether there is any way to override this behavior.
