I have Xcode 7 installed and symbolicatecrash
in /usr/bin
is a symbolic link to /Applications/Xcode.app/Contents/SharedFrameworks/DTDeviceKitBase.framework/Versions/A/Resources/symbolicatecrash
.
I have no problem manually symbolicating crash reports with Xcode 7 just as I have for the last several releases of Xcode.
BTW - it's still a perl
script as always.
And be sure you have installed the Xcode command line tools.
Update
With Xcode 7.3 the location of symbolicatecrash
is /Applications/Xcode.app/Contents/SharedFrameworks/DVTFoundation.framework/Versions/A/Resources/symbolicatecrash
.
I've also seen that since upgrading to OS X 10.11 (El Capitan), there is no longer a symbolic link in /usr/bin
.
