I would like to ask if there is a specific path or methodology someone should follow to port WebKit (https://github.com/WebKit/WebKit) to an alternative operating system so to create a new browser. What are the requirements to do so? Where someone should start from?
I read somewhere that it would be a good idea to base the port on the simplest WPE (https://webkit.org/wpe/) implementation. What that means exactly?
The platform I have in mind has GCC 8 available and a cross platform development environment based on docker and linux to develop for, if needed. But I am looking also what else such a port needs. Are there any mandatory libraries?
