identity aware proxy - Put tomcat behind IAP using compute engine

Question

So I have a vm instance that is running apache tomcat on port 8080 and SSL version of it is running on port 8443 (self-signed) lets assume its IP address is 123.123.12.1. Is it possible here that if a user opens https://123.123.12.1:8443 in his/her browser we can first authenticate it first via IAP?
