javascript - Unable to get "_matchesCountTotal" in pdfjs | totalmatchescount in pdfjs

Question

Iam using pdfjs and i need to find the total matches found on each find completed, so i used "updatefindcontrolstate" to identify the state, but "_matchesCountTotal" gets updated only after a second,

this.eventBus.on("updatefindcontrolstate", data => {
  console.log(data.source._matchesCountTotal);
  // this gives me '0' even when multiple matches are found

    setTimeout(() => {
       console.log(data.source._matchesCountTotal);
       // this gives me exact total matches
    }, 1000)
});
