python - Is there a way to start a plot already zoomed on a specific part in plotly when the axis is an array?

I have a bar chart made with plotly on Python and the y axis is a very large array. I would like the chart to start already zoomed on the first 15-20 items of the axis. For reference I tried the answer to this question and it works with numbers but I don't know how to make it work with categorical array axis.

I have tried this

    arraylist=['apple','banana','pear','orange','cherry','watermelon','apricot'
    layout = go.Layout(
    yaxis=dict(
        range=[arraylist[:5]
)
fig = go.Figure(data=data, layout=layout)

and

fig.update_xaxes(type="category", range=[arraylist[0], arraylist[5])

But it has not worked. Any help is appreciated.
